The Alliance is an initiative formed by Fondation de la Mer (France), John Nurminen Foundation (Finland), and MEDSEA (Italy), committed to the preservation and restoration of marine ecosystems in Europe.

Although the Alliance is not a legal entity, its operations are coordinated through its founding members. The website is technically managed and hosted by MEDSEA.
